Spanning two city blocks, the centre boasts several unique architectural features including the giant Marionette Watch hanging in Shot Tower Square, famous for its hourly rendition of the Australian anthem 'Waltzing Matilda'. The square is named after the historic Coops Shot Tower a bullet-making facility built in 1889. Today, the brick shot tower stands proudly in its original place, protected by a modern twist: the magnificent Glass Cone, designed in the '80s by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. While it floods the centre with natural light, the Glass Cone's design also makes it one of Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks.

Melbourne Central is convenient to get to, being located atop the City Loop, with Melbourne Central train station accessible via Lower Ground, and the free city circle tram route at the centre's doorstep. The parking lot is easy to manoeuvre, safe and offers a great deal of value. If you want to take advantage of the Melbourne Central car park, it can easily be accessed via Lonsdale and La Trobe streets.

One of the best things about Melbourne Central carpark is you won’t be required to spend your entire shopping budget just to park your car.

Believe it or not, for every $10 you spend at any Melbourne Central store, you pay only $8 per hour for parking between 7am and 5pm. Simply have your parking ticket validated in store at point of purchase.

You can also save on our cheap Earlybird rates. When you enter before 10am and leave after 3pm, you'll pay only $17!

Evening Rate: $13 flat rate after 5PM
Earlybird Rate: $17 flat rate (enter before 10am and leave after 3PM)
Spend and Save: For every $10 spent in centre, receive one hour of parking for $8, between 7AM and 5PM, when you get your parking ticket validated in store or at Guest services
Cinema Parking Rate: $6.50 flat rate for up to 3 hours when you get your ticket validated at Hoyts
Maximum Rate: $74 per day
