Call Out : Join the Night Chorus
Participate in RISING 2022, live on stage at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
This year, we’re cultivating a multicellular choir to grace Melbourne’s most beloved outdoor stage—the one and only Sidney Myer Music Bowl. And we want you to be part of it.
RISING’s Night Chorus is your chance to participate in our 2022 program of epic and intimate performance, art, music and food. We’re after the kind of singers who like to howl at the moon and bellow at the stars.
ADD YOUR VOICE TO THE MIX
Ideally, we’re on the hunt for experienced singers who’ve previously participated in choirs, choral groups, or group singing. In saying that, if you’ve got a set of pipes that can reach the Myer Bowl’s sails, we’d love to hear from you too. The opportunity is open to fully vaccinated people of all abilities and backgrounds, aged 18 years and over.
Singers will be required to attend Saturday rehearsals in the lead up to the event, before singing together live on stage, overlooking a frosty ice-skating rink. Your repertoire each night will be drawn from classic ‘80s hits, deconstructed for choral performance.
Let’s just say we can feel it coming in the air tonight. We’ve been waiting for this moment, all our lives, even. Oh Lord, it’s gonna be good. If you’re keen to participate, fill out the quick form via the link below. And if you need a hand applying, email us at nightchorus@rising.melbourne. Or, you can give us a call on 03 9662 4242 and leave a message with a time to call you back.
We look forward to hearing you soon.
